Turkey bans shooting at weddings


Turkey's interior minister, Soliman Soelou, has issued a decree banning shooting at weddings, saying that this phenomenon leads to many tragedies.
According to the Turkish newspaper "Hurriyet," Suilu called on the country's eighty-one provincial officials to ensure that no shots were fired at weddings.

The ban is not limited to weddings only, but includes social events and sports events in Turkey.

Under the resolution, the authorities will ask those who reside in abundance and occasions to provide guarantees that no bullet will be fired, in order to avoid turning weddings into mansions.

The decision requires that the "Mukhtars", who are assistants to the authorities, the task of telling the authorities, in the event of any shooting during the wedding.

The authorities are expected to issue sanctions against anyone who violates this resolution, which many have demanded after tragic events.

A number of weddings in Turkey have killed a number of people on a regular basis because of the shooting.
