Two years after the escape .. leader of the rebels of southern Sudan back to the capital
South Sudan's rebel leader, Rick Machar, returned to the capital Juba more than two years after fleeing the country following the collapse of a peace deal in 2016.
Mr Machar, a former vice-president, fled to the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2016 after violent fighting in Juba killed hundreds of people.
Machar later traveled to South Africa, where he was placed under house arrest until earlier this year.
Musharraf and South Sudan President Salva Kiir signed a new peace deal last month in the latest attempt to end the country's five-year war.
