A US Navy helicopter crashed aboard the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan, causing non-fatal injuries to sailors.
The US Navy's 7th Fleet said in a statement that the MH-60 Seahawk crashed shortly after taking off on Friday as it was carrying off the coast of the Philippines.
The navy said all the injured sailors were in stable condition and that their injuries were not life-threatening. He did not say how many sailors were injured.
The navy gave no details of any damage to the helicopter or aircraft carrier, but said the ship was fully capable of carrying out its mission for security and stability in the Pacific-Indian region.
The incident occurred while the Ronald Reagan naval group was conducting routine operations in the Philippine Sea, the navy said.
