Verstaupen tops free practice in Mexico

Red Bull driver Max Fürstaben has won the first and second Grand Prix of the Mexico Grand Prix at the Autodrome Hermannos Rodríguez in Mexico City.
Verchtapen made the fastest lap of 1: 16.656 minutes from 19 laps on the ring, 0.4 seconds ahead of Australian teammate Daniel Ricciardo, who also had 19 laps.

Renault's Carlos Sainz finished third with 1.2 seconds (20 laps) ahead of Finnish team mate Nico Holkenberg by 1.3 seconds (21 laps).

The world champion, Lewis Hamilton, was the world champion 4 times, with a time of 1: 18.075 minutes (23 laps) in front of Finnish team mate Valteri Potas (1: 18.322 d 27 lap) and Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel (1: 18.746, 17 laps) and Finn Kimi Raikkonen (1: 18.936, 22 laps).

Hamilton needs five points to win this season's title, regardless of four-time world champion Vettel, who is expected to win in the last three races of the season, provided that Hamilton, who leads by 70 points, does not get the five points he needs.

In the second round, Verstauben again beat the record by 1: 16,720 minutes, after 21 runs ahead of Ricciardo, who had 1: 16.873 minutes (32 laps).

Sainz maintained third place in the first round (1: 17.953 d, 35 laps), while Holkenberg slipped to fifth (1: 18.046, 36 laps) behind Vettel, who scored 1: 17.954 minutes (42 laps)

Hamilton finished seventh (1: 18.100 d, 40 laps) in front of Raikkonen (1: 18.133 d, 42 laps) and Potas (1: 18.140 d, 40 laps).
