"Tinkering with the nose" transmits a disease that kills millions

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Tinnitus can lead to health problems, notably pneumonia, according to a recent study carried by the Daily Mail newspaper.
Experts say that some bacteria can spread in the human body through tampering with the nose (finger placement), as well as infecting friends and relatives.

According to researchers from the Liverpool School of Medicine in Britain, pneumonia usually spreads with sneezing or coughing, noting that their study has concluded that the transmission of pneumonia bacteria is also felt.

"Our findings indicate that people are more likely to be able to spread bacteria by using their hands, whether wet or dry," they said.

"No matter how bad this habit is, it is difficult to get rid of it, but it is capable of transmitting serious diseases," Dr. Oktoria Konor said.

"Pneumonia kills millions of people around the world each year, young or old, especially those with immune system weakness," the Daily Mail said.

Doctors are advised to wash your hands frequently and minimize as much as possible tampering with the nose and keep away from anyone with this bad habit.
