Apple attached the iPhone XR production days after its arrival to the markets

Apple has asked its iPhone partners to stop the iPhone XR's additional production lines.
In September, Apple unveiled two models for iPhone, the iPhone XS, and the relatively low-priced iPhone XR, made of aluminum chassis.

Apple has asked Foxconn and Pegatron to stop additional lines for the iPhone XR, which reached the market at the end of October, a clear indication of weak demand for the new phone, according to Reuters.

According to the source, Apple also asked the company, which collects iPhone phones, to prepare if you need a number of iPhone XR quickly.

Foxy quoted producer sources as saying that Foxconn had prepared 60 production lines for the iPhone XR, but only 45 had been used by Apple, which said it would not need to manufacture more.

Five years ago, Apple cut production of the iPhone 5C with a plastic chassis just a month after its launch, revealing the weak demand on the low-cost iPhone, which the company stopped production directly.

Apple warned last week that its fourth-quarter sales, which coincide with the holiday season, may not meet Wall Street's expectations.

Apple has also decided to stop disclosing its sales figures for iPhone and iPad devices days ago, arguing that the number of units sold does not provide a correct picture of the company's financial results.
