Asencio disavows "responsibility" and casts it on Real Madrid stars

Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asencio said he was not responsible for the difficult period the team was going through, noting that the more experienced players were overweight.
According to Asencio, quoted by Spanish newspapers on Wednesday, the young striker believes that the team's confusion at the beginning of the season is far from being a "crisis", blaming some media that "inflate things and make the club feel like a state of instability."

"In any case, I do not take responsibility for what happens and I do not have to show my own face in the front, there are other names that are more weight and experience in the team."

"We will conduct a comprehensive evaluation at the end of the season, to know the source and the reason for these criticisms," the 22-year-old said.

"Solari is our coach now, we're going to show him all our qualifications, we need to be strong to get back on our normal course," he said.

The European champions began their season on both the domestic and the continental sides, prompting the management to dismiss coach Julien Lópeghe and appoint Argentine Solari as a temporary replacement two weeks ago.

On Tuesday, Real announced that Solari, the former player, would become coach until June 30, 2021.
