Bolt reveals why his football experience has failed in Australia
Former Olympic sprint champion Yusin Bolt confirmed on Saturday that he was sticking to his dream of running for football, despite the failure of his latest experience with Central Coast Mariners.
On Friday, the club set an "immediate effect" on the experience it launched last August, the former runner-up of eight Olympic gold medals, after the two sides failed to reach agreement on the financial allowance.
The club reportedly offered Bolt a bid of up to A $ 150,000, while the player and his representatives were seeking $ 3 million.
"It's unfortunate that things (with Mariners) have not worked," the world record holder of the 100m and 200m titles told the Melbourne Herald in remarks published on Saturday. "But we have had a good relationship, which is good."
"I had a great experience with them, everyone was wonderful, but we could not agree on the contract, but I hope to have another chance with another team."
The 32-year-old Bolt tried to fulfill his dream of a career in football after retiring last summer in athletics.
Asked if he would continue to pursue professional football, Bolt replied: "We will see what happens ... I think that some are now communicating with my agent about future opportunities, so we will see in what direction things will go. "He said.
