Italy's Empoli club have sacked coach Aurelio Andriatisoli for the results of the 65th birthday.
Andriatsooli was fired despite Empoli's leadership to return to the spotlight last season when he won the Serie A title, 13 points behind his closest pursuers.
"We are very grateful to Andriasoli, who played a pivotal role in the return to the spotlight last season," the club said in a statement.
Andriasoli has been leading the club since December 2017.
Empoli is in the relegation zone with six points from 11 games after seven defeats, although the last two losses were against Juventus and Napoli. Empoli is the third team in the Serie A to miss the services of his coach this season after Chievo and Genoa.
