High oil exports in Kurdistan
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced a rise in its crude oil exports to 400,000 barrels per day.
The government said in an official statement that production in the field (Vishkhabur), near the city of Dohuk, increased by 50 thousand barrels per day.
The increase "compensates for the shortage in the field (Tawke) near the town of Zakho, whose production has decreased since July 2017 from 107 thousand barrels to 80 thousand barrels per day only."
The statement added that the government of the region has set up a pumping station for oil in the town of Sheikhan in Dohuk province, which will raise the capacity of export pipelines in the region by 900 thousand barrels per day, adding that the region is now able to export 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
