Meteor hit Earth 12 thousand years ago .. And its impact now appears

Scientists have discovered a giant nozzle over a diameter of 30 kilometers, under the Greenland ice, they think was caused by meteor struck the earth about 12,000 years ago.
The crater remained hidden under a thick layer of ice until it was discovered by sophisticated radar produced for the University of Kansas.

According to the report, "Sky News", the crater site there is in the "Hayoatha" area in the north-west Greenland, and it is caused by an iron meteorite is approximately the size cubic kilometers, hit the ground at the end of the closest modern era.

It is noteworthy that the Pleistocene, which began 26 million years ago and lasted for 11,700 years to talk, the last ice age included, a period in which the huge glaciers covered the surface of the Earth.

The discovery of this crater was not easy. It took more than two decades to identify it. The data were collected from 1997 to 2014, but the results were only recently revealed in a recent scientific study published in the latest issue of Journal of Advanced Science.

"We have collected large amounts of acoustic radar data over the past two decades, and then glaciers have collected this data together to map the Greenland Sea under the ice," said co-author of the study and professor of electronic engineering and computer science at the University of Kansas, John Biden.

Danish scientists have discovered this huge crater beneath the ice layer in maps and satellite images, suggesting it is a large meteorite effect.

A team of scientists conducted a survey of the area, but determining the exact time of the fall of the meteorite needs further research, as well as the search for its remains and debris.
