One of the top candidates to coach Real Madrid coach Roberto Martinez has commented on the news he linked to the club after the coach was sacked last week.
In an interview with a Belgian station, the current coach of the Belgian team, Martinez: "We will not waste our time on this (news of his contract with Real Madrid)," according to published newspaper "AS".
Martinez was named as one of the main candidates for the Royal training after the dismissal of coach Julien Lobetigi and the appointment of Argentine Santiago Solari as a "temporary" option.
Martinez appeared to have categorically denied news that the Belgian team, with whom he had a contract until 2020, had left the club and signed Real Madrid, which could keep him away from next season's training.
The name of the Spanish coach emerged as a candidate for Real Madrid's "flounder" after his success with Belgium in the World Cup Russia, and his leadership team to achieve the bronze medal.
For his part, the Belgian Football Association hinted that he would not stand in the face of the Spanish coach if he wants to contract with a club, provided that the process is approved and supervised by the Union, according to the newspaper.
