Poisons threaten western Turkey .. Millions of people are at risk

Turkish researchers have warned of an environmental phenomenon hitting the western coast of the country, specifically in the Izmir region, putting millions of people within the danger of poisoning.
The newspaper "Yeni Asir" Turkish invasion of green algae called "sea lettuce", the coast of western Turkey, calling on the authorities to intervene quickly to resolve the crisis.

Although previous press reports have said algae are harmless to human health, a scientific expert warned of an imminent danger to the phenomenon.

The researchers at the University of Aegean, Professor Bahaa Buyukishik, said that the cells of these algae release toxic raids that can hit passersby on the beaches.

"Sea lettuce is a warning from nature, people can get poisoned if they go out to the beach to enjoy the air if the situation remains as it is," Buyukishik told Yeni Asir.

The researcher revealed similar cases in the United States, which caused the population to suffer from memory loss after poisoning, and called on the authorities to intervene immediately.

A few days ago, algae workers are trying to get through huge mechanisms, but the magnitude of the crisis seems to outweigh the government's capabilities.

Marine algae are present in large quantities on the beaches, as a result of rising sea temperatures compared to the air above them, which causes algae to float on the surface of the water to get food.
