Ronaldo admits: I miss my former colleague

Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up his memories of his former Manchester United side, saying he is missing out on former teammate Wayne Rooney.
"He has wonderful memories" with the golden boy of English football, Ronaldo said in a documentary produced by Gulhanger, "Wayne Rooney: A Man Behind the Goals."

When he came to Manchester United, he was the King of England, and I called him among our friends (Petbol).

Rooney moved to Old Trafford in 2004 on the backdrop of his brilliance with Everton, the year after Ronaldo's arrival from Sporting Lisbon, and continued until 2009 when he moved to Real Madrid.

"I remember when he loses the ball, he turns into a violent and strong person, he has strong corrections and scored a lot of goals," Ronaldo said in his comments published in the Italian daily Calcio Mercato.

The Portuguese star added: "I miss playing next to him, but who knows, we may be reunited again."

Ronaldo's comments coincide with the decision of Rooney, the US striker DC United, to return to the leadership of the "three lions" once, only when he meets his American counterpart in a charity match after 10 days at Wembley.

Rooney announced his retirement from international football in August 2017, having won 119 caps and scored 53 goals in England.
