"Curse Tote" chasing Liverpool star

LONDON (Reuters) - England striker David Sturridge has been charged with misconduct by the FA for allegations of violation of the Football Betting Rules.
The union said in a statement that the charge relates to the period of January 2018, and that the 29-year-old English international before him until 18:00 GMT on November 20 to respond.

A spokesman for Liverpool said Sturridge was cooperating with the authorities.

"Daniel is cooperating fully and clearly throughout this process and assured the club that he will continue to do so."

"Daniel also confirmed categorically that he did not bet on games, and like any such case, we will not make any further comments until the end of this process."

The FA prohibits players and coaches from betting on any football activities or making any undeclared information to anyone else who can then be used in gambling. "

Storridge has played 12 games for Liverpool in all competitions this season and scored four goals.
