Trump's ridicule campaign "afraid of wetness"

The French army joined US President Donald Trump's list of "cynics" on social networking sites after he apologized for attending a memorial ceremony for US soldiers killed in World War I because of the "rain."
The White House said Trump was unable to attend a memorial ceremony for US soldiers and Marines killed in World War I at the American cemetery in France after the rain did not arrive.

Trump, along with his wife Melania, was due to pay tribute to the American soldiers at a ceremony at the American Inn-Marne cemetery in Belo, some 85 km from Paris, but continued low rain and low cloud prevented his helicopter from reaching the cemetery.

Trump's absence from celebrating in the last minute, in his wide criticisms of social networking sites, went so far as to consider absences "an insult to his country's soldiers."

For its part, the French army, on its official account in Twitter, published a joke described as bragging of the "Trump excuse."

"There is rain, but there is nothing wrong, we will remain enthusiastic about the #MondayMotivation," said the twinkle, which was attached to a soldier crawling on the ground challenging the stormy skies.

Trump's sarcastic comments were also posted on social networking sites. "Our president is also ready to face problems, but until the rains stop," one of them said.

A user posted pictures of former US President Barack Obama, attending some events and giving speeches in a rainbow, as he appeared in a speech in the rain without holding an umbrella.

"I love presidents who are not afraid of the rain and know how to open and close the canopy," he commented.

"President Obama's staff had contingency plans if his helicopter could not fly, you have no excuse for not respecting those who made the biggest sacrifice," the Independent said.
