Trump vows "illegal immigrants" ... and camps waiting for them

US President Donald Trump has vowed to crack down on legal immigrants and prevent them from entering the United States.
"Illegal immigrants affect the lives of all Americans," Trump said. "Illegal immigrants affect the jobs of Americans and the taxpayers of our people."

"They are affecting the security and safety of the public," he said, adding: "These immigrants cost the United States billions of dollars each year."

The US president said his country would refuse asylum from areas that are not legal ports, while stressing its position on a group of immigrants heading home from countries in Central America.

"Migrants seeking asylum will have to present themselves legally at an official port of entry," he told reporters at the White House.

"Those who choose to violate our laws and enter illegally will no longer be able to use unconditional applications for automatic entry into our country."
