US President Donald Trump on Wednesday attacked CNN reporter John Asusta at a press conference at the White House, commenting on the outcome of the midterm congressional elections.
The reporter was asking a question to the US president about illegal immigrants coming across Mexico that they were not US invaders.
"Migrants must come legitimately, we have companies, we want people to work," Trump said, rejecting Trump's comment on migrants not being considered illegal infiltrators.
When the reporter told them that they were only hundreds of miles from the US border, Trump replied: "Let me run the country, and you have to take the CNN job."
Then a White House employee removed the microphone from the journalist's hand in an inappropriate manner, trying to ask another question, but left him to ask his second question.
When the reporter tried to ask his second question, about investigations into Russian interference in the US presidential election, Trump replied: "It's useless."
