Wizards unravels the knot of his court
The Washington Wizards finished a series of five straight defeats and 108-95 win over New York Knicks to win their first home victory this season in the NBA.
John Wall scored 26 points and Bradley Bell added 22 points. The team took advantage of their lead in the fourth quarter, scoring 16 points from just two points.
Dwight Howard contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds to Wizards.
Washington scored 30 of 39 free throws against 12 of 16 for the Knicks.
Washington came in with the worst defense in the competition, averaging 123.9 points per game, but it showed a first-time development and managed to force the opponent to score less than 100 points.
Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Lakers lost 121-107 to Toronto Raptors, who took advantage of the brilliance of Sergi Ibaka, who scored 34 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Kyle Laurie added 21 points to his best record of the season and 15 assists to set a record in the Raptors after passing at least 10 decisive balls in eight consecutive games.
Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers with 24 points, while LeBron James had 18 points.
