A record trade surplus between China and America
China's trade surplus with the United States hit a record $ 35.6 billion in light of rising exports and falling imports, official figures released on Saturday showed.
Chinese exports to the United States rose 9.8 percent in November year-on-year, while imports in the same month fell 25 percent, according to information from the Chinese Customs Administration.
The record monthly surplus of 31.8 billion US dollars in October comes despite US tariffs on Chinese products.
China's trade surplus with the United States for the first 11 months of this year was $ 293.5 billion, compared to $ 251.3 billion for the same period last year.
US President Donald Trump said negotiations aimed at defusing a trade war with China were "at best".
Trump's comments on the smooth conduct of negotiations with China came a few days after meeting his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and agreeing on a three-month trade truce to find a more sustainable solution to the costly conflict.
