A horrifying military error .. An American "Hummer" falls on a children's park
A US Hummer military vehicle crashed into a residential area after it was dropped from a parachute plane, but it missed the base where it had to land, according to pictures of the incident.
The military vehicle landed from a US aircraft in a playground, usually packed with children, in Johnsonville, North Carolina, Sky News reported Friday.
The military vehicle crashed into the ground and caused a loud bang, which shocked the population as it fell between two houses and 11 kilometers from the military base where it was supposed to land.
The Hummer military vehicle weighs three tons and falls in an area often used by children to play, according to local residents, who said no one was hurt.
According to eyewitnesses, they heard the sound of the vehicle hitting the ground, and later saw the umbrellas landing at the scene, and confirmed that they were terrified and afraid to see this scene.
"This is where our children often play, and fortunately they were in school when the vehicle came down from the sky," said Shatwana Ross, a resident of the area.
The military vehicle was dropped by a C-17 cargo plane as part of an exercise by soldiers to test special airborne operations.
State authorities said the incident was "under investigation."
