Arsene Wenger reveals his "mysterious" plan ... and sets its date

After his departure from Arsenal after a 22-year march in London, French coach Arsene Wenger revealed his next plan, which he found vague.
Wenger told the German newspaper Bild that he expected to return to the start of the new year, noting that he had received many offers from different clubs in the world.

But the 68-year-old veteran, who left Arsenal in May, said he did not know what his next job was or where.

"I think I will start again on January 1. I do not know yet," Wenger said in an interview published on Wednesday.

Speculation has been brewing over the past months about Wenger's possible contract with Paris Saint-Germain, as club sports director.

Wenger, who trained Japan's Nagoya Grampus before joining Arsenal in 1996, said: "I have received offers from national associations and teams.

"In 22 years at Arsenal, I have a great deal of experience at various levels," he said, "I've been receiving offers from all over the world."

Wenger was crowned three Premier League titles with Arsenal, but his last years with the club were unstable.

The coach faced a barrage of criticism from fans and experts in his final period because of his tactics and his failure to make big deals for the club, which has missed the league in the last 14 seasons.
