Before 2020 elections .. Trump sure by "one hundred percent"

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump said Tuesday he would be a candidate for a second four-year term in 2020, dispelling speculation about his intentions.
"Yes, 100 percent," Bush told Fox Business in response to a question about his candidacy.

On his potential rivals, he pointed to billionaire Michael Bloomberg, who has not ruled out running for president, and has just announced that he has re-registered as a Democrat, but he sees little chance of winning.

"There are a lot of people who will run, I expect bad people already."

"I do not think he's a serious person," said Trump's lawyer, Michael Avinati, the lawyer for pornographic actress Sturmie Daniels.

The US president was at the heart of American politics with his sudden victory in 2016 over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

Even before the results of the polls were eclipsed by an easy victory for Clinton, Trump managed to defeat a number of traditional Republican candidates to reach his Republican nomination as a presidential candidate.

The first test of the political situation in the country will be next month with the mid-term congressional elections, where Democrats hope to wrest control of the House of Representatives at least from the hands of Republicans.
