Blackmail Minister in South Africa with sexy video

South Africa's Interior Minister Malusi Gijapa said on Sunday that his own sexual footage had leaked after his phone was hacked and that he had been blackmailed for this reason when he was finance minister.
"My wife and I learned sadly and sadly that a video that contained material of a sexual nature, and was for private use only, was stolen when my phone was hacked and circulated among certain political figures," he said on his official Twitter account.

"This video was the focus of a number of attempts at extortion and exploitation dating back to the period following my appointment as finance minister on 31 March 2017 and I refused to comply with all of them."

Jijaba did not disclose the nature of the extortion, but said law enforcement agencies and intelligence were investigating.

"I take this opportunity to apologize publicly and extend to the rest of my family, especially my children, my mother and my family, and to South African public opinion for the pain and embarrassment that the likely publication of this particular content will cause on a wider scale," he said.
