Blasts shake polling stations in Afghanistan .. And the fall of victims

Several blasts, on Saturday, shook polling stations in Kabul, whose victims are still unclear, on the first day of legislative elections.
The news agency "Agence France Presse" a witness that the voters fled after an explosion in a voting center north of the capital, while others reported explosions in other sites that caused "dead and wounded."

President Ghani went to a polling station to vote and called on "every Afghan and every Afghan to exercise the right to vote."

Officials are concerned that the violence could lead to voter reluctance to vote, especially following the assassination of Kandahar police chief on Thursday, prompting authorities to delay the elections in the province for a week.

The Taliban issued a series of statements calling on them not to participate in a process they consider to be imposed from abroad, and warned that the election centers could be attacked.

Authorities have deployed thousands of police and soldiers across the country in an atmosphere where nine candidates have been killed and hundreds killed and wounded in election-related attacks.
