Egypt .. An important archaeological discovery of "Ramses Great"
Egyptian archaeologists have discovered parts of a ceremonial hall with a seat belonging to Pharaoh Ramses II, one of the longest reigning pharaohs in ancient times.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Antiquities, Thursday, the artifacts were found during the excavation in the neighborhood of Matria, east of Cairo.
The head of the archeological mission of the University of Ain Shams and working in the Arab Al-Husn area in Matriya, Mamdouh Damati, that the building may have been used in celebrations and public gatherings, and back to the era of the nineteenth family.
Ramses II ruled Egypt more than 3,000 years ago, thanks to the expansion of ancient Egypt, to Syria and Sudan at present, and the campaigns that earned him the title of Ramses the Great.
Egypt often reports archaeological discoveries, hoping to stimulate interest in ancient treasures in the country and stimulate tourism, badly damaged by political unrest following the January 25 revolution.
