France defender: I wanted to lose our team at the World Cup

French international defender Laurent Kouchelny announced his international retirement and attacked French coach Didier Deschamps before revealing his sadness at the World Cup.
The Arsenal defender said the victory of the "duke" in the Russian World Cup was more damaging than his injury, which kept him out of the tournament.

In an interview with French station Canal Plus, Kouchnelini confirmed that his failure to join the French national team "wrecked" him psychologically, and the historic achievement of France has become a black point in his football history, according to him.

"I felt like shit, I could not feel that I was the world champion, a feeling of 60 million Frenchmen," Kouchnelini said, "I felt a strange feeling during the World Cup, I wanted them to progress in the tournament but I wanted to lose at the same time."

The injury to Achilles' tendon injury prevented Kushelny from participating in the World Cup, and kept him out of action for a long time, continuing until today.

At the end of the interview the defender confirmed that his career with the "Duke" ended, announcing his international retirement.

Arsenal defender Didier Deschamps, who has not yet been contacted, said: "When your level is good, you have many friends, but when you get injured, everyone forgets you."

"Dyshamp called me once to congratulate me on my birthday, and he only called this time," he said.

Kushelny also spoke of his psychological crisis because of neglecting his family completely during the rehabilitation period last summer, describing himself as "selfish" in more than a paragraph during the interview.
