Italian striker Antonio Cassano has announced his retirement at the age of 36, leaving behind a thrilling march inside and outside the stadium.
Antonio Cassano, who played for giants in Europe, including Rome, Real Madrid and AC Milan, was famous for his bold statements that topped headlines.
The Italian star did not hide his remorse for his poor experience with Real Madrid between 2006 and 2008:
"I was the best team in history. I could have stayed longer and made more achievements, but I followed my instinct and made the mistake of leaving."
"I did not sign Juventus because they wanted soldiers on the pitch and I wanted to do what I wanted," said Cassano.
"My mother feels careless when the fans of the opponent do not insult her," Cassano told the crowd.
Fabio Capello-Cassano was trained twice in Rome and Real Madrid, creating a charged relationship between the two. "Capello is the best coach who has trained me, he has done a lot for me," he said. "You are a bad person, you are more fraudulent than Monopoly money."
One of Casano's most famous statements is: "If I were not a football player I would be a criminal."
