Indonesia found the wreckage of the plane after two days of search
Less than two days after the tragic incident, the Indonesian military commander said on Wednesday he believed the search and rescue team had found a part of the Leonair jetliner that crashed into the sea carrying 189 people.
"We strongly believe we have found a part of the JT 610 jetliner," Hadi Lahjantu told Wan TV.
"Yesterday night, the team spotted a signal at a 35-meter-deep site," Hariot Satimiko, deputy head of the Transport Safety Authority, told Reuters.
The Boeing 737 crashed on Monday, 13 minutes after taking off for an island north of Jakarta.
While the cause of the accident was not confirmed after an expert on civil aviation, he did not rule out that the crash was deliberate, stressing that this hypothesis "not excluded" in the interpretation of the sudden disaster.
The expert and the captain, John Nancy, that the crash of an aircraft of this type is unusual, so it is possible that the "suicide bombing" has caused the tragedy.
He explains that the Boeing 737 does not suddenly fall from the sky, even if it is old, and therefore, the assumptions are very limited, either it is a bomb or a large defect in a surprise.
