A suicide bomber blew himself up near the gate of Afghanistan's largest prison on Wednesday, killing at least seven people and wounding five others, but no one claimed responsibility for the attack, officials said.
Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish confirmed that the bomber blew up his explosive device near a vehicle carrying staff from Poli Sharakhi prison in Kabul.
Another government official said three people died near the prison gate on the eastern outskirts of the capital, while three others were injured, Reuters reported.
