Sudanese artist arrested for "disgraceful dress"
Sudanese police arrested the singer Mona Magdy Salim on charges of wearing a blunt dress, media reported Saturday.
According to the news site "Bag News" that the police of the public order, filed a statement under article 152 of the Sudanese Criminal Code of 1999, known as "blatant dress", against the backdrop of images were circulated social networking sites of the young artist last week.
"Police stopped Mona Salim last Thursday before releasing her with normal security. The source expected the police to submit them later Sunday to the public order court east of Khartoum," Bag News quoted a source as saying.
