Turkish on the threshold of prison .. And the reason 45 thousand phone calls

A Turkish man faces a lengthy sentence of imprisonment for a strange offense he committed in a state of unconsciousness, but the judiciary may not take into account his "reckless act".
Sherif Kan, 55, called the police 45,000 and 210 times in just one year, according to the Daily Hurriyet.

Sherif, who lives in Istanbul's Perm Pasha district, said he was drunk when he came to his house and said he wanted to talk about what he felt and found only the emergency line.

The harassing man faces the charge of obstructing state officials while performing their work, and the sentence is likely to reach a full five years.

Sharif expressed regret for what he had done and confirmed that he was depressed and in need of someone to talk to in critical times, but found only the number "155" for the police service.
