A disaster in Pakistan .. The theft of bank customers data and offer for sale

It seems that the Internet and the pirates will cause a disaster for both banks and customers, which may lead to a return to the era of keeping money "under the tile" as was the case in the past.
Pirates in Pakistan have recently been able to steal customer data from nearly all major banks and even sell it on the Dark Web Web site, The Independent newspaper reported.

In addition, the pirates managed to steal more than $ 2.5 million by withdrawing them from ATMs using details of credit cards and stolen withdrawals, according to the head of Internet crime control in Pakistan.

The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Muhammad Shuaib, told Geo News that the data of all the Pakistani banks have been hacked, pointing to a report by the Internet Security Group "IP", that the data of private banks are also at risk of piracy.

"More than 100 cyber attacks have been recorded by the FBI and the authorities have arrested a number of people in connection with this incident, including the arrest of an international gang," Shuaib said.

More than 20,000 customers were affected by the hacking of Pakistani banks' data, according to the FBI, where credit card details and withdrawals were stolen from 22 Pakistani banks.

In an interview with Dunn, Shuaib said it was up to banks to protect their clients' data, adding that pirates had managed to withdraw large sums from customer accounts and demanded banks to upgrade and improve their security systems.
