In a "sad" incident, a teacher committed suicide in a class during school hours in an incident that rocked a school in Texas on Monday.
A teacher at the Wessendorf Preparatory School in Rosenberg, Texas, taught art teacher Gordon Halani unconscious in one classroom before being taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, APC reported.
The school authorities in Texas confirmed that the teacher committed suicide within the classroom, and has not yet announced the method of death.
Halani is only 31 years old, and his Facebook page says he has been married since 2016.
Students were kept in their classrooms after the suicide, and the parents of the students were informed of the incident.
The school announced that social workers would be ready to talk to students and teachers during the week, if one of them wanted to ask questions about the "sensitive" topic.
