The fourth round of the Champions League saw great excitement, and with its end, the teams that qualify for the last 16 of the tournament became clearer.
Eligible teams
Barcelona have become the first team to reserve their place for the playoffs, and so far, is the only team officially qualified for the next round, after a draw with Inter Milan on Tuesday in the second set.
A point from qualification
A number of senior Europeans have consolidated their position in the rankings and are just one point from qualifying. Among them are Porto in Group D, who are on their way to qualifying and will need only one point from their last two matches against Schalke and Galatasaray.
Bayern Munich also need a single point in their last two encounters with Group E, a task that does not seem difficult for the European "veteran" team. Manchester City have also changed their position after the stalemate in Group F and are now just one point away .
Roma will qualify for the next round if they draw Real Madrid in Rome, while Royal need two points against Roma and CSKA Moscow to secure qualification, which does not seem too far away.
In the first group, Borussia Dortmund will qualify for the next round, while Atletico Madrid need two points in the next two games to secure qualification.
Despite Wednesday's loss to Manchester United, Juventus will need only a draw at home to Valencia in the next round, to ensure their qualification for the next round.
Groups "complex"
The most complex group is the third Group of Death, which includes Liverpool (6 points), Napoli (6 points), Paris Saint Germain (5 points) and Serbian Red Star (4 points). This is the only group where teams have close chances to qualify for the next round.
The second set also saw a "fateful" clash between Tottenham (4 points) and Inter Milan (7 points) in the next round in an exciting second-place fight.
Manchester United's victory over the Juventus, the eighth set of cards, was thwarted, and the "old lady" qualified. The conflict between the Red Devils (7 points) and Valencia (5 points) sparked.
Goodbye adults
The six teams competed in the European championship, the biggest of which was Monaco, who qualified for the semi-finals two seasons ago. PSV Eindhoven also took the lead, as did AEK Athens, Greece's Lokomotiv Moscow and Swiss Swiss Yang Bweis.
