Clasico death .. Announced the deadline for "Libertadores"

The final of the Libertadores Cup between River Plate and Boca Juniors will be held in December outside Argentina, after the crowd disrupted the match last week, the South American Football Association said on Tuesday.
The match, which is equivalent to the Champions League final in Europe, is scheduled to take place on December 8 or 9, but it has not given an alternative venue, the federation said in a statement.

After a 2-2 draw in the game, Argentina giants were expected to meet in the decisive return match on Saturday at the Monoment Stadium at River Stadium, but the match was canceled after a number of Boca players were injured after a stone attack by River fans on the team bus.

"The game will be played outside Argentina because the conditions are not suitable for Argentina," the club's president Alejandro Dominguez told reporters after meeting with representatives of the two clubs at the federation's headquarters in Paraguay.

Paraguayan police chief Walter Vasquez told local radio that Paraguay's Asunción will host the match and will be held on December 9.

Boca Juniors have officially asked the South American federation to exclude River and get the title, and the union has started disciplinary action against River.

Boca president Daniel Angelchi said the club would turn the matter over to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the body that handles sports disputes based in Switzerland.

The match between the Buenos Aires rivals was the ultimate in the history of the 58-year-old championship. All tickets were sold and media from all over the world watched the match, but River fans threw stones and fireworks at the Boca bus as it headed for the stadium, Windows and injury to players.

Tear gas or pepper spray was fired on the bus, which spawned some players.

Although all the stadiums were filled with fans, Boca said the team was not in a position to play and the Southern Union initially decided to postpone the game for several hours before deciding to set it up the next day.

On Sunday, UEFA canceled the match again after Boca complained that a fair match would not be guaranteed if the match was held at the River Stadium.

The new date will ensure South America's participation in this year's Club World Cup, which begins in the UAE on December 12.
