Netanyahu's lawyer "involved" in corruption case

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli police confirmed on Thursday they had evidence of the involvement of David Shimron, a lawyer for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in corruption and money laundering.
The file includes suspects in a case of alleged corruption on the sale of Germany to Israel military submarines from the German industrial giant "Tissen Krupp."

Israeli police also suspect David Sharan, the former head of the prime minister's office, in the case.

Last June, Israeli police questioned Netanyahu in a special investigation into a $ 2 billion deal for the sale of three German submarines manufactured by Tyson Corp. to Israel.

Netanyahu, who has been interrogated three times in the so-called case 4000, and Bizek have denied any wrongdoing.
