Official request from the two Koreas to organize the 2032 Games together

The two Koreas said in a joint statement that they agreed at Friday's meeting to send a letter to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), confirming the desire to jointly organize the 2032 Summer Games.
The agreement came in the light of talks between officials of the two countries to discuss ways to increase cooperation in sports.

The statement also said the two Koreas agreed to form a joint team to compete in the World Handball Championship for men in Germany next year.

The two Koreas agreed at a summit in September in Pyongyang between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Mongye N to seek a joint bid to host the 2032 Games.

Indonesia and India also expressed a desire to host the 2032 version.
