Russian beauty acquitted of theft and fraud

Former Russian Miss Russia has been acquitted after being charged with hiring a fake court administrator to steal property from the luxury home of her former boyfriend, Sergey Windsor.
Marinika Smirnova, 35, described the investigation as a "trivial joke" after being acquitted of charges of theft and fraud, the Daily Mail reported.

"I do not believe the police have believed this man," Smirnova said. "He failed to provide conclusive evidence."

The 29-year-old Robin Murray, a friend Windsor alleged to have conspired with, was acquitted of stealing two MacBooks, a television, a clock, a printer and an audio recorder.

Windsor accused Smirnova and Murray of stealing valuables from his Chelsea home, worth over £ 2,000.

Windsor claimed that Murray broke into his home on May 31, 2016, after he gave him documents stating that he was the Supreme Court.

Smirnova is the daughter of Elena Kolesnikova, the Soviet gymnast, and the famous nephew of Pierre Smirnov, who was associated with Smirnov, the brand of alcoholic drink.
