Trump is "ready" for a second summit with the North Korean leader
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump is "ready" for new talks with his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong-un, US national security adviser John Bolton said on Tuesday.
Bolton's comments came after a report detailing missile sites in North Korea, which was under maintenance, according to Reuters.
Bolton was speaking on the sidelines of meetings between the 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and non-ASEAN partners, including the United States and China.
On the tension in the South China Sea, Bolton said his country opposes what he called China's "unilateral military steps" in the South China Sea.
The US national security adviser added that US freighter operations in the region have increased compared to what they were before.
