US stocks fell as investors headed for the sale of Apple shares and companies operating in the Internet and technology sector, shaking more confidence in a range of stocks.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 395.78 points, or 1.56 percent, at 25,017.44.
The Standard & Poor's 500 Index shed 45.56 points, or 1.67 percent, to 2,690.71.
The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 219.40 points, or 3.03 percent, to 7,028.48.
