Italian Week "Black" in Europe
The last European group stage in the Champions League and EuroLeague Championships saw six Italian "setbacks", with the club having five defeats and a draw.
Juventus and Roma have managed to secure their 16th place in the Champions League, despite two "shameful" defeats against Swiss side Switzerland's Young Boys and Victoria Plzen.
The biggest "shock" was from Napoli and Inter Milan, both of whom called the tournament on goal difference from their English rivals Liverpool and Tottenham respectively.
Inter Milan had a disappointing draw at home to PSV Eindhoven, while Napoli lost to Liverpool in a 1-0 win.
In the European league, Milan gave the tournament "great disappointment" after losing 3-1 to Olympiakos, although he needed a draw or even a one-goal lead to qualify for the next round.
Lazio managed to qualify for the next round, despite a 2-1 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Juventus are the only Italian team to make their group in Europe, while the other six are divided between second and third.
The draw for the last 16 of the Champions League and the 32nd round of the European Championships will take place next Monday.
