An unnamed Spanish player has rejected a tempting offer from Barcelona, preferring to stay at his third division club in Spain.
Cristiano Gonzalez, 21, has been named Cristiano Ronaldo by Real Madrid's Castilla, the club said on Monday, after scoring goals in both seasons and past.
Gonzalez scored seven goals this season, 4 of them in the last five games, while scoring 10 goals in the second part of last season.
According to the newspaper, the player showed remarkable abilities at the first appearance, when he was 16 years old, and plays in the ranks of Tenervi.
The promising player began his journey with the Real Madrid team, when he was supervised by coach Santiago Solari, and has remained so far, knowing that the current coach is Manolo Diaz.
A year and a half ago, the Real Madrid side won the battle to keep Gonzalez in the squad after the latter rejected offers from Sevilla and Barcelona, although he could have moved on to Barcelona.
The deal between the two parties amounted to 750,000 euros ($ 852,000), which later doubled to one million.
Marca predicted it would not be long before Christo Gonzalez became a key player in Real Madrid.
