At least one person was killed in a shooting inside a shopping mall on the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois, police said Tuesday.
Police said the man who shot at the Orlando Park commercial center was still at large, the Miami Herald reported, adding that the dead man was 19.
The dead man was shot and managed to escape before falling outside a clothing store, police said. The man later died in hospital.
Deputy police chief Joseph Mitchell said a passerby had been wounded in the leg and described the shooting as an "isolated incident."
The surveillance cameras showed a man running away from the mall, but it was not clear whether he was continuing on foot or entering the car.
Mitchell explained that the recordings indicate that the shooter knew the victim and that he was "targeted".
