Watsab imposes a significant change on the "retransmission"

In an effort to limit the spread of rumors, misinformation and false messages, Facebook's text-messaging application (Watsab) announced that restrictions on forwarding will be applied to all users.
"As of today, we will restrict the forwarding of messages so that they can be sent to a maximum of five users," Victoria Grand, vice president for politics and communications in Watasab, was quoted as saying on Monday in an event in the Indonesian capital.

Previously, a Wattab user was able to resend messages to 20 individuals or groups.

Watsab's sponsors count that the move would deter mass retransmission of messages and reduce the spread of false news.
