In a strange incident, an "aggressive" group of monkeys killed an Indian Indian in a way that seemed closer to the fantasy world, but it did happen.
Dharambal Singh, 72, collected dry wood pieces seconds before the painful incident when a group of monkeys began throwing stones at him from the top of a tree where he was working.
According to Sky News, the tragic incident took place in Tikri, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday.
The monkeys rained stones at the man from the top of the tree, after collecting them from a dilapidated nearby building, The Times of India reported.
The elderly man later died in hospital from head and chest injuries.
Villagers have repeatedly complained about monkeys' aggression in the area, but the animals are legally protected to protect them from extinction.
The Singh family filed a formal complaint with the police about the incident.
