The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has recently been the initiator of the website after becoming the most famous celebrity in the social networking platform.
According to the Daily Mail, the number of followers of Ronaldo, who moved months ago to Juventus, reached 144 million and 338,000.
Ronaldo was on the throne of Ingestram after beating the singer and actress Selena Gomez, whose activities have been affected by the site recently, because of mental health problems.
Ronaldo is keen to share his photos regularly with his mother, four children and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Georgina RodrÃguez.
Gomez, who last took part in the picture last September, said she would move away from social platforms, opening the way for the Don to advance to leadership.
Instagram is not just a communications platform for stars, with celebrities charging up to hundreds of thousands of dollars for some advertising on their pages.
