De Bruin is out of action for 6 weeks
MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) - Manchester City defender Kevin De Bruin will be out of action after a knee injury on Thursday night.
The Belgian star suffered a knee ligament injury at the end of the Fulham encounter in the English Premier League's 16th round, where the Citigens won 2-0.
The English Premier League announced that De Bruyn's injury would be out of action for five to six weeks. The player had returned 10 days before a long injury that kept him out of the start of the season.
De Bruin was injured at the end of the meeting on Thursday evening after Spanish coach Pep Guardiola decided to keep him to the end of the match, which he considered a great mistake for the Spanish coach.
The injury will deprive De Bruin of participating in the derby against Manchester United at the UEFA Champions League on November 11.
